Event Title: Getting What You Want: Setting and Maintaining Boundaries with Others
When we effectively set boundaries and limits with others, it has a huge impact on our ability to have productive work and personal relationships. Doing so can be very empowering and it includes telling others what we want from them and then staying with those decisions once we’ve made them. When we do this we take better care of ourselves, maintain our self-respect, and increase the likelihood that we will have more control over our lives. At work when this is done effectively, there is clearer communication, fewer morale problems, productivity increases, and there is less stress and turnover.
In the session, you will learn the basics of effective boundary setting and you will be provided with the Boundaries Handbook that Mark has written.
