Topic: Mastering Performance Anxiety

Description: Managing conflict in the workplace often is a significant part of the leader's job. Frequently, the intensity of feelings expressed does not match the "causes" that are cited. Labeling the conflict a personality or cross-cultural issue does little to help resolve it. Because of the impact on performance, a great deal of effort may be spent trying to find a resolution. But if the focus is on the symptoms and not the underlying cause little if anything changes. The repercussions of blind spots, unresolved patterns, and forgotten traumas will find a way to show up one way or another. One way to move towards resolution and reconciliation is to look for the systemic causes that lie behind the conflict. During this workshop we will review a model of the systemic dynamics of conflict and explore how to resolve the presenting issues applying a systems perspective.
