Engage with one another, develop knowledge and skills, share expertise, and contribute to our community.

About the Role

The Secretary is an important member of the CBODN Board leadership team. S/he works closely with the Board in the management and support of board meetings and member activities. The Secretary works closely with our staff member (Bookkeeper) in the management of Board fiduciary requirements.

In addition, this role works closely with other Chairs/Directors in support of their programs and activities.

Board Member Requirements

Board Members are not required to be employed in the field of Organization Development; roles may require skills, talents and perspectives outside the field of OD. However, current membership with CBODN is required to serve on the Board.

The Board of Directors of CBODN is comprised of passionate volunteers dedicated to building community and working together to implement the vision and goals of the Network. The Board is responsible for carrying forth the 30+ year history and legacy of CBODN, while seeking to continually build cohesion and foster knowledge sharing within the community.

Each Board seeks to build on the successes of previous Boards in developing CBODN as the central hub of our DC Metro area OD community. We do this by providing members with current online resources as well as programs and events from which to engage with one another, develop knowledge and skills, share expertise and talent, and contribute to our rich and wonderful community.
