It’s becoming increasingly difficult to engage in conversations where we don’t always agree - especially when those conversations rub up against our core values. It’s easy to become distracted, busy, and choose to avoid conflict for the quick fix in our interactions – although seeking awareness, embracing courage, and having more enlightened conversations serves all parties. We all bring our individual opinions, experiences, and perspectives to our conversations, which influence how we show up in those conversations. Often, when emotions are high, it becomes hard to show up in the way we want for ourselves and others.

This program will examine our patterns and how to connect across differences using self- reflection tools to understand how we show up in hard conversations, how to regulate our nervous systems, and how to have healthier, more effective communication between different people that respects individual identities, values, and boundaries. Participants will be introduced to the ‘Five to Thrive’ model, leveraging five of our favorite practices for engaging in challenging conversations with care and ideas on how to show up more powerfully and authentically in hard conversations.
