Thank you to all that attended! |

Members & OD Community,
The purpose of this event is simple and important. The CBODN Board is inviting current members, past members, future members, OD practitioners, students, educators, and anyone with a passion for OD to contribute to an open and honest response to the following question: How Do We Energize Our OD Community? Engaging and energizing our OD community is the focus of our planning and none of this can happen without this open, honest conversation and caring from each and every one of us. The diversity of our community has always been vital to our success and in continuing with this tradition, anyone willing to show up, learn, and contribute to the work is welcomed.
CBODN emerged from a 1984 national Organization Development Network conference held in Washington, DC and has continued to be the premier DC Metro area community for OD practitioners. CBODN is proud to hold the sole distinction of having twice received the Outstanding Regional OD Network Award from the OD Network. Reflecting on our past is crucial as we move forward with our OD community and we hope to engage as many of our legacy members in the discussion.
What will happen on January 28th? All attendees will be encouraged to share any (and all) ideas for energizing our OD community and a written or electronic record of all discussions and recommendations will be provided to attendees and CBODN members.
Where do we go from here and how do we continue to serve our members and community? All recommendations will be ranked in priority order determined by this group and shared with the large membership community (e.g., Communique, website, or survey). Input from members and the Board will allow us to identify working groups or immediate next steps for the group’s most important ideas or issues.
It is time to get to work, so what are the opportunities and ideas that you care about and How Do We Energize Our OD Community? We are excited to kickoff the New Year with this event and are thankful for the sponsorship of George Mason University’s Organization Development & Knowledge Management (ODKM) Program for the venue. More details on the day can be found on our website and on all our social media sites: Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Stay connected and see you soon!
Thank you,
CBODN Board
