Program Description:

Every organization has a culture.  We experience it, we have a sense about it, and we often refer to it for explanations about the seemingly unexplainable in organizational life.  Where does it come from?  How does it grow?  How does it influence life in organizations?  How can we use it to strengthen organization performance?

In this workshop we will explore these questions about organizational culture from the perspective and experience of community-based nonprofit organizations.

Learning Objectives
• Explore 3 layers and the multifaceted component parts of organizational culture.
• Explore the strengths and challenges of a novel approach to surfacing the hidden aspects of organizational culture.
• Explore how to apply organizational culture perspective to solving organizational challenges.
