Program: Facilitating the Many Dimensions of Conflict

Facilitator:  Harrison Snow (OD consultant)

Recently Brenda Boyd and I facilitated a half day workshop at the ODN conference in Atlanta on "Discussing the Undiscussable" During the conference we constellated some of the issues and challenges around discussing racial issues or incidents in organizations and universities. At the upcoming meeting we will report out on this process and what we learned. We will also draw upon this learning to deepen our capacity to facilitate conflict that has multiple layers or sources in the individual, family, and society.

If we bring enough self-awareness to the conversational space we can use the spiritual, emotional and physical domains to foster understanding and let go of judgment and fear. This strengthens our foundation of self-awareness and the ability to contain the discomfort of differences and difficult topics.

Conflict handled responsibility with awareness is always an opportunity to grow. Come join us on Friday, October 21 for an insightful and experiential, learning adventure. The library is just west of Georgetown and has parking on the street.

All the best,

Harrison Snow , OC CoP Coordinator
