"Organizational Change, the Change Challenge Game and Q& A Regarding Creating Games For Leaders"

Program Description:

The Change Challenge™ game was created for a Leadership Summit at MedStar Health with two goals:  First, to sensitize leaders to the people considerations when designing, communicating and implementing change.   Second, the game was used to introduce the MedStar Change Tools that are available to help leaders support their teams through change.

During this interactive session, Tammy Vetter will provide a brief overview of what leaders need to do to lead their team through workplace change, facilitate game play and answer audience questions regarding developing the game.  Through game play, participants will:

  •  Learn actions they can take to help their team through change by answering questions and reflecting on past change efforts.
  •  Experience the emotions related to the stages of change as they learn how to play the game and work with their team.
  • Learn actions they can take to build resilience in themselves and on their team.

Presenter: Tammy Vetter, Senior Organizational Effectiveness Consultant for MedStar Health’s Organizational Effectiveness team.

Tammy has been a Human Resources/Organizational Development professional for over 25 years.  Her experience includes all aspects of Human Resources, leadership development, training, change management and mergers/acquisitions.  Tammy holds the following certifications:  SPHR and SHRM-SCP, is certified in MBTI and DISC, and is a certified facilitator for the following training programs:  Transition Management (William Bridges & Linkage, Inc.), Achieve Global and The Change Cycle.  Tammy also has a certification from ATD in Creating Leadership Development Programs.  Prior to joining MedStar Health, Tammy held multiple positions at PHH Mortgage, PHH Corporate and PHH Fleet:  Program Manager for Management Development, Manager of Learning & Development, Sr. Organizational Development Consultant and Human Resources Manager.  Prior to PHH, Tammy was a Human Resources Manager at Sylvan Corporate and CMSI.  She completed her MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattooga and her BS in Psychology at Towson University.

By the close of this workshop you will:

1.  Greater understanding of what leaders should do to help their team through change.

2.  Greater appreciation for the feelings teams go through during change.

3.  Greater understanding of what goes into the development of a game for the workplace/leaders.

 Hope to see you there!
