Topic: Corporate Culture: Building a Climate of Trust

Speaker: Vanessa Womak Easter

Vanessa Womack Easter, Consultant, is a knowledge worker, who uses her keen sense of people skills to ask the right questions when others are dealing with the status quo. Vanessa has tons of experience in small business operations, marketing and administration management. She recently published her first novel, ‘Paint the Sky Purple’, about a young woman who moved from North Carolina to New York City to escape part of a culture that kept her trapped.  Vanessa created and hosted the radio business talk show, ‘On Track with Vanessa Womack’. Vanessa is skillful in career transition management, college/university coaching, non-profit, small business and leadership development.  She is a lead faculty with the University of Phoenix – Richmond Campus and performs facilitation and training/development functions locally and nationally.

Vanessa works part time with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in the Community Affairs department where as a community liaison helps cultivate a diverse audience to connect with the museum. Vanessa earned a MBA from Averett University and completed facilitation training through Initiatives of Change/Hope in the Cities’ Connecting Communities Trustbuilding Program. In addition, she was a co-host on the Charlottesville Public Access Channel show Working It Out with Nat Roman and is a member of the leadership program, Leadership Metro Richmond.  She was a contributing writer for the ‘In My Shoes’ column in the Richmond Times Dispatch.
