Topic:   We'll be critiquing two articles submitted by SIG participants, as well as exploring barriers and enablers impacting our ability to write

SIG Description:

The Writers’ SIG is focused on supporting members who are interested in improving the quality and /or quantity of their professional writing. We are comprised of both external and internal OD practitioners interested in writing articles, blogs, books, white papers and newsletters. This SIG embraces a strong hands-on component where we read and critique each other’s writing.

Potential topics to be addressed in our meetings:
-Writing habits and practices
-Finding a suitable publisher and/or book agent
-Using social media to communicate our ideas
-Writing for professional journals
-Argumentation and support

Vision/Mission: The mission of the Writers’ SIG is to strengthen the professional writing skills of OD practitioners thereby enhancing their visibility and credibility in their practices and organizations.

Who would benefit from attending: Internal and external OD practitioners who want to better articulate their ideas in professional writing.
-Virtual meetings conducted via teleconference and webinar
-Face-to-face meetings conducted at a location to be determined
