OD Book Discussion CoP

Book: "Give and Take" by Adam Grant

Facilitator:  Sally Colella

Bio:  Sally Colella, MA, PCC, has been on the cutting edge of organizational network analysis and science for more than 15 years and is a founding member of the Connected Commons, a community of business and academic thought leaders who believe in an interdependent world, networks are increasingly the organizing principal of our lives. She is a co-author, with Rob Cross and Jean Singer, of The Organizational Field Book, published by Jossey-Bass. Currently, an executive coach and educator, she works with a broad range of clients and is looking forward to hearing your reactions to Adam Grant’s research. Prior to launching her practice, Sally was a leader at Fannie Mae and The Washington Post.

Program Details:  This session is an interactive discussion around the key principles and applications of “Give and Take.”

A groundbreaking look at why our interactions with others hold the key to success, from the bestselling author of Originals. For generations, we have focused on the individual drivers of success: passion, hard work, talent, and luck. But in today’s dramatically reconfigured world, success is increasingly dependent on how we interact with others. In Give and Take, Adam Grant, an award-winning researcher and Wharton’s highest-rated professor, examines the surprising forces that shape why some people rise to the top of the success ladder while others sink to the bottom. Praised by social scientists, business theorists, and corporate leaders, Give and Take opens up an approach to work, interactions, and productivity that is nothing short of revolutionary.
