(Revised) Topic: Moving Dialogues - What is Change to Me?

Feeling drained and unclear? Unmotivated and stagnant? Tap into your own creativity and clarity at our March 6th session and experience Moving Dialogues, a movement-based, storytelling methodology that leads participants through a process to create their own personal movement vocabulary while exploring an essential question. Moving Dialogues is a powerful way for groups to come together, experience each other’s perspective, and create deeper meaning. It is a well-suited tool for team building, identifying common ground, idea generation and brainstorming through movement. Join us in exploring the topic of change through individual writing, dance and discussion. Zero dance experience is expected - Moving Dialogues is for everyone! Please wear comfortable clothing!

Presenter: Kelly King

Kelly King is a creator. She has been using a method over the past few years called Moving Dialogues as a personal practice, as a public service for schools and community centers, and as a product for business clients seeking to build stronger, more authentic relationships between employees. She is the Artistic Director of Contradiction Dance Theatre and Co-Founder of The Movement Movement. Past clients include The Girl Scouts of America’s Keys to Success Conference, Round House Theatre, Anacostia Arts Center, and Washington Performing Arts.

If you want to attend please RSVP by email to Peggy Linden, Coaching CoP co-leader: peggy.linden@gmail.com.

Changes:  We are changing the way we run the Coaching Community of Practice.  Those who receive notice they are on the attendance list will pay $5.00 by Venmo to reserve their place.  We will send instructions regarding using Venmo when you receive notice you are on the attendance list.  We will not be offering refunds.  We ask that cancellations be at least 48 hours in advance so we can contact those on the waiting list and give them sufficient notice to attend.  If necessary, last minute cancellations are appreciated so we can do the appropriate room set-up.

In order to balance who attends we delay notifying those on the attendance list for up to a week to include those who have not attended recently.  We also encourage new members to attend.  We apologize if you do not get on the attendance list each month and hope you understand that we want to include more members, not only those who responded quickly.  We limit our sessions to 30 attendees as we sit in a circle to encourage full participation. From now on those who are 'no-shows' or last minute cancellations will  be placed on the waiting list for future meetings until we have openings.   RSVP only if you want to attend, no need to send 'regrets.'

Please let us know if you are a new member or have not attended the last three or more sessions.  We are very grateful for your interest and support.

We need a few volunteers to help set up the room.  Please let me know if you can assist us at 6:00.

You will receive notification within the next seven days about whether you are on the list to attend or on the waiting list.  Also, please include the phone number where you can be reached if we need to contact you the day of the meeting.  Be sure to check your email for any updates if the weather is challenging or for any other changes that evening.
