Topic: 8 Steps to Consensus in Meetings
Description: Leaders often conduct meetings that result in decisions. But are they good decisions? A key component of good decisions is if they will get implemented quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. The challenge is that in meetings some people want quick decisions, some want thorough decisions, some want only what is good for them personally. Some don’t want to disagree, so they don’t bring up important objections. If these varying styles and interests aren’t accounted for in the decision making process, team members are likely to unconsciously or consciously torpedo the implementation of that decision. This may result in meeting time wasted, increased frustrations and lower morale.
In this session you will have the opportunity to learn the eight steps for consensus in meetings and practice them in small groups.
