Mentees Invited for CBODN’s Group Mentoring Program
Orientation session free to all, non-members will need to join CBODN to participate in the full program.
Starting in September, CBODN is launching a Group Mentoring Program for new and emerging OD professionals and those with more work experience.
We can accommodate several more mentees, so if you’ve been thinking about joining, please see the info at the bottom of this message.
The purpose of the program is to provide a mentoring experience for CBODN members that is enriching and educational for all involved. Group mentoring will involve 3-5 people working together with a mentor on topics of interest to the mentees. The mentee’s role is to contribute to the questions and content that the group will cover. The mentor’s role is to hold the space for the conversation, ensuring that the experience is inclusive and allows active participation by all.
Each group will meet every other week, 5 times over 10 weeks, in September-November, with specific times and dates set by all participants in the group. Topics will be generated by the group’s participants, including offers to share with the group, and requests for knowledge or information. It is the group that’s the source of knowledge and support and not just the person in the mentor role. Each group should make its own contract around confidentiality and sharing of each other’s contact information.
We’ll hold an orientation session on August 31st, 7:00-8:00pm EDT.
