Coaching Community of Practice: Leaders in Transition

When new leaders join an organization, it's a time of great excitement and promise - as well as potential for costly career-limiting mistakes and derailment. The key is an effective leader onboarding process that helps accelerate an executive's integration into a culture, enabling them to create impact and achieve results quickly. Recent research suggests that 40% of new leaders do not last more than eight months in their roles, primarily due to cultural missteps. There are far-reaching implications of newly hired leader derailment and turnover: higher recruiting costs, poor decisions, front-line staff and stakeholders losing confidence in the senior leadership team and lost organizational opportunities that go unfulfilled by new executives.

Join your colleagues and attend our October 18th meeting to learn how we as consultants and coaches can successfully guide our clients to develop and use an effective leader onboarding process.
