When Cultures Meet: Connecting Across Differences
This workshop is a cognitively and emotionally powerful experience in connecting across differences. Participants will work in small groups while following an assigned set of culture rules. As they work to complete an engaging but time-constrained task, they will become aware of how their culture rules help and hinder their ability to work together. In the middle of the task, an organization change occurs which causes groups to be merged together. The merged groups must work to complete the assignment while grappling with the differences in their culture rules.
Participants will have the opportunity to debrief their experience in a rapid, candid interaction. They will also explore a framework that explores the reflex reactions that often occur and how we can choose more effective responses.
About the Presenter: Jeff Boudro
Jeff has been the Executive Director of Power & Systems, Inc since 2017.
He has been an expert practitioner of Barry Oshry’s work for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the legendary Power Lab and is Master Certified in all of Power + Systems workshops. Jeff has deep experience working globally with a wide variety of organizations to leverage Power + Systems workshops to strengthen leadership at all levels, build robust cultures, and accelerate their key initiatives.
