Closing the Year, Opening the Next
A Reflective Harvest for Coaches

Coaches spend the year holding space for other people’s reflection. We ask the questions that open things up, stay with the hard answers, and help clients make sense of what just happened to them. We rarely give ourselves the same attention.

This December session of the Coaching Community of Practice is that time. For many in our community, 2026 asked a lot. Systems shifted, clients carried more, and many of us carried more too, often without stopping to notice. Before the calendar turns, we’ll pause to take honest stock, together.

The session moves in two parts. First, we look back: What did 2026 ask of me, as a coach and as a human? What surprised me, about myself, my clients, or the systems I work in? What am I still carrying that needs to be named?

Then we look ahead: What am I ready to leave behind? What will I carry forward on purpose? What possibility excites me, or scares me a little?

You won’t get a framework to master or a lecture. Expect quiet reflection, small-group conversation with peers who have walked similar ground, and a closing harvest of what the room has learned. Come as you are.

By the end of this session, participants will leave with:

  1. A clearer, more honest account of their year as a coach and as a person.
  2. At least one thing named, acknowledged, and set down.
  3. One or two intentions for 2027, grounded in what this year actually taught them.
  4. Renewed connection with a community that understands the work.

Bring a journal, a warm drink, and a willingness to reflect with yourself and others. Participants will receive 1.5 ICF CCEs for resource development.
